How often should it be applied?NHOU oil undercoating typically lasts about a year. For optimal protection, we recommend reapplying annually, especially if your vehicle is frequently exposed to salt, moisture, or rough road conditions.

What is it made from?NHOU is formulated from a highly refined mineral oil that's nonhazardous, non-flammable, and environmentally friendly. It contains natural corrosion inhibitors derived from plants and animal fats, and it doesn't contain solvents or detergents.

Can it be applied in any season?Yes, NHOU can be applied in any season. A fall application will help protect against the coming road salt and moisture. In the winter, NHOU can help neutralize any rust that has started to form and prevent further damage. In spring and summer, warmer temperatures and higher humidity can restart and speed up rust growth, especially in areas where salt residue from winter roads remains on your vehicle. Applying NHOU oil undercoating during these warmer months creates a proactive barrier against moisture and oxygen, the two main culprits of rust.

Will it drip?NHOU is formulated not to drip. Minimal dripping is possible shortly after it’s been applied and as it continues to gel up within the first 24 hours. Clean up is usually simple, using Dawn dish soap or Simple Green degreaser.

Does the vehicle need to be clean beforehand?NHOU oil undercoating is designed to accumulate build-up (dirt). This provides a better surface for it to grip onto however, large amounts of dirt and major rust may prohibit the oil's ability to soak through. We will take the time to address any large deposits of dirt, salt, or flaking rust so the oil will have the opportunity to soak in all the way to the base metal. There it will displace moisture and air, preventing rust from forming or growing.

How long does it take?The process typically takes 1–2 hours, depending on the size and condition of your vehicle. We aim to provide quick and thorough service so you can get back on the road confidently.

Can it be done when the vehicle is wet?We prefer the vehicle be as dry as possible when spraying to give the oil the best chance of adhesion. We will make every effort to schedule around the weather but, in the event of the vehicle arriving wet, we ask for additional time to allow for the underside to dry out.

Can it be used on any vehicle?Yes, NHOU oil undercoating works on virtually all makes and models, from cars and trucks to SUVs and commercial vehicles.

Will it void my warranty?No! On the contrary, NHOU prevents corrosion and can even help eliminate electrical malfunctions, reducing the number of warranty claims manufacturers are obligated to pay.
